Paris style

Hi again to the Smile through Life Adventurers.

Well, today I have an extra big smile on my face, as I have had a room makeover for my birthday....or should I say graduation from Year 7 gift.   Let me start from the beginning.

Since June this year I have been fascinated with anything and everything from Paris, like the Eiffel Tower and especially the pastries.

I love the French pastries, I was hoping Mum would give me an excursion to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower and also taste the lovely food, unfortunately not  :(  (I am home schooled, so an excursion to Paris is possible, but not likely!)

Anyway, I brought up the idea to have a room makeover for my big 13th birthday (January 2013) and slowly the idea became real. I have two wall colours that are blue, and trying to find a blue Paris themed doona seemed almost impossible. But my super clever Mum is a brilliant sewer and she made a doona for me. This is the exciting bit, last night ( 5th Dec 2012) I got one of the biggest surprises of my life.

I was given my new room earlier and I was so excited!  It was a gift from my parents for doing so well in my school work and as I have just finished Year 7, Mum and Dad wanted to bless me with a congrats, good job for the year and so on.  I was breath taken - my room looked wonderful.

I just wanted to share the moment with you guys.

Yes, my Mum sewed this awesome doona.   It is even double sided.

Driving through the Flinders

Hi to all the Smile 'Through Life Adventurers'

Our family were on a four week holiday travelling around different towns in Australia. On this particular day, we were driving through the Flinders Range in South Australia.  It was the most beautiful place ever on earth.  We were drove through breath- taking scenery and had the pleasure of observing all different types of animals from lizards to emus. I also wrote a poem as we were driving through the area. I will post some pictures below to show you just how breath- taking the experience was.  Last but not least, keep on smiling through life's journey.

Peaceful

The trees sway with the wind, making a rustling noise go by,
It's peaceful here you see.

The birds hustle and bustle, while singing gleefully,
It's peaceful here you see.

The lizard sun bakes by the tree, hissing comfortably,
It's peaceful here you see.

It's time to say good-bye to this peaceful place, you see.

I hope the poem I wrote painted a little picture of what the scenery was like and what it was like to drive through this magnificent place on earth.

This picture is one of the many dirt tracks we drove on during our trip. This image was taken in Parachilna Gorge, which is one of the roads that lead you to Blinman.

Look at all the different colours!  This is one of my fav pics from the holiday. This photo was on the way to Wilpena Pound.

Same place as pic above just a different view.

A view from the top of a mountain in Brachina Gorge, Flinders Range.

How cool is this amazing creature God created!  In the background is Wilpena Pound.

Isn't God amazing to create all of these amazing places on earth. God is truly amazing.
P.S Smile God loves you! :)
